A vote for our Crowns is a vote for our people

— 2 minute read

I have always stood up for our Crowns, which I considered as investments in the essential services that our communities need. These are services that would be no better off if privatized (and likely worse off as we have seen with various sell-offs in the past three decades) and they keep the profits in the province. In order to reign in rising cost of living and keep good paying jobs in the province, we must do what we can to protect our Crowns, including exploring new opportunities such as Pharmacare and bringing ones back that are sorely needed like the STC.

Full disclosure: I recently accepted a position at one of our Crowns, so it is even more personal for me. I don't care what your politics are, when you vote this fall (if you're in Sask), all I care is that you consider the people less fortunate than you and those that will come after us, and ask yourself, "is the person I'm voting for wanting to help these people or are they only going to make it easier for more of the wealth of this province to be extracted away as many of the Sask Party's policies has contributed to?"

Finally, besides voting, the best way to show your support is to donate what you can towards our goal of electing a government for the people (in this case, one lead by the Sask NDP). Any amount will help. Also, I would really suggest joining me in volunteering your time in whatever capacity you are capable of. Being part of the democratic process is truly a rewarding experience.
