New Years 2018

— 2 minute read

This may sound cliche, but this past year was quite possibly the best year of my life. Each and every day had their ups and downs, of course, and the constant self-improving will continue, but I can confidently say that I’m a better person and in a better place now than I was a year ago. From meeting new, great friends, to spending quality time with friends of old, to cleaning out the negative people and objects in my life with my embracing of minimalism, to improving my health and fitness with yoga, weightlifting, meditation and trying to eat better, to seeing Lady Gaga in Edmonton with Lisa, to her and I selling our house in Warman and buying a house here in Regina, to beginning a new fulfilling career as an application solutions consultant, 2017 was full of many successes and achievements. I am truly grateful for all of it.

You already know this, but we often need a reminder that it is always possible for us to achieve our goals if we only focus and persist; anticipate obstacles and accept mistakes, conquering both as they come and go; and most importantly, recognize the positives no matter how small or insignificant. We will not let anyone or anything get in our way. We will make today our best one yet. Consequently, the next year will be even better than the last. Let’s see to it together!
