Crime decreasing in Regina through 2021: Police statistics - This means we can spend less of our money on police right? Of course the fuck not because common sense doesn’t apply to cops, even after a year of insurmountable evidence showing the amount of waste that the reactionary, increasingly-militarized police has on our municipal budgets and on human lives in both America and Canada. We could instead be implementing more effective, proactive measures like housing the homeless, providing for safe injection sites, decriminalizing all drugs, and literally just putting more money into the pockets of those who need it, but that would make too much sense.
With Greyhound gone, let’s replace it with a national public intercity operator Canada - If you don’t live in a major center or your pockets aren't very deep, and you don't have access to a vehicle, then you are essentially screwed. We had an answer to this here in my province, called the Saskatchewan Transportation Company, but our free-market-obsessed provincial government cut it, while suggesting that public services 'shouldn’t lose money' and that the market can fill the gaps. Once again, the Sask Party gets it wrong and completely fails in their responsibility to the public it serves, which unfortunately is by design.
The Conservatives' great big climate problem: 338Canada - The Conservative Party have only themselves to blame for making themselves irrelevant to the vast majority of Canadian voters. The snake oil salespeople that lead the party are deserving of zero empathy for playing politics with climate change, science, and reason.

Seriously, just tax the rich America - This is another significant problem that is not at all complicated. Taxing the rich is not just the right thing to do, but it is also the popular thing to do. At the very least, it is time that capital gains are taxed as much as working a real job is.
