The Anniversary of the First American Revolution
On this day in 1775, the American Revolution began. As our neighbour to the south increasingly becomes a kleptocracy (or a plutocracy, depending on the day), the only response for the majority of Americans might be another revolution to take back what is theirs.
These same assholes who keep stealing from us continue to use the divisive culture war to pit us against each other so that we aim pitchforks at each other instead of at them. One of the best techniques has been to pit generations against each other, such as the Millennial (which I am) vs Boomer war, which I have admittedly taken part in.
Although previous generations objectively have had it much better than mine and more recent generations, we are all victims of the exploitation of the ownership class that corrupts government, business, basically every institution in our society (in Canada, America, and practically every "First World" country).
The reason why most recent generations are more vocal is because we have realized how full of shit the American/Canadian/etc Dream of working hard for success has been. Why even try when we know it is not worth the risk? This realization does not make Millennials and Gen Z any more (or less) entitled than Gen X or Boomers.
When the revolution happens and spreads throughout the West, we all need to unite and remember who the real enemy is. Here is one example of who we should aim the pitchforks at first.
