The real enemy

“Quebec is a drain on the federal government.”

“Environmentalists want to destroy your way of life.”

“Immigrants are taking your jobs.”

“The NDP want to destroy the economy.”

“Justin Trudeau hates the West.”

“Socialists want to control every aspect of your lives.”

“Indigenous people are criminals and drug addicts.”

“Pot smokers are lazy.”

“Gay people want to destroy the sanctity of marriage.”

These are all exaggerations, lies or dog whistles to distract us from who the real enemy is.

The rich are polluting the earth at a much greater rate than everyone else.

The rich own our media.

The rich own the social media platforms.

The rich own our debts.

The rich own most of our farms.

The rich own our streaming services.

The rich own most of our politicians.

This rich get bailed out when they fail.

The rich are able to get tested and treated for illnesses such as COVID-19 before the rest of us.

So please, let’s stop fighting among ourselves and focus on who the real enemy is.

Let’s realize that the rich are using their power to avoid accountability and have us squabbling among ourselves instead.

When we open our eyes and come together in unity and solidarity, we can and we will destroy our enemy.
